Wildlife Watching Boat Trips

Binoculars Icon

Scotland's abundance of coastline, islands, rivers and lochs are all home to fascinating wildlife like whales, dolphins, seals, otters, basking sharks and various seabird colonies.

A boat tour is a great way to get closer to the action in a responsible way, whether that's coasting alongside minke whales out at sea or floating underneath cliffs that are home to nesting puffins.

Explore the countless islands off the West Coast – the Small Isles, Skye, Mull, Islay, Jura and the Outer Hebrides – or the Northern Isles of Orkney and Shetland. Alternatively, cruise the calm inland waters of Loch Ness, Loch Shiel or the Great Glen.

Our member wildlife watching boat trips are operated to be as minimally intrusive as possible to the local wildlife by keeping noise pollution down and keeping a respectful distance.

All Wild Scotland members operate in line with our Best Practice Guidelines in regards to sustainability, accessibility, community and safety.
